Hurricane Ike passes to the East of Go Away Farm!

While Houston and it's surrounding 5 million residents were without power, Go Away Farm, only 70 miles to the West kept power the entire time. We were blessed because we ended up with 27 refugees from the area who came there to get water and power. We had a great time, as this photo will attest. There was a freak cold front that blew through the evening after the hurricane past. It dropped the day temperatures to about 80, and the nights to a wonderful 65 or so. It made things bearable for millions who otherwise would have been in the mid to high 90's.
