A hot and dry July!

We had a wonderful crop of cherry tomatoes this year! They were about as good as I ever remember eating. In fact, we're still enjoying them. We may have to build a greenhouse so we can keep these coming during the winter:=-)

We had a disaster during early July. A strong wind blew for about four days at the farm wreaking havoc on the giant 150 year + oak in the front of the house. One Monday Isidro heard all of the limbs crash to the ground at once. Mikki arrived a couple hours later and gave me a call. It was a very sad day for us. You just won't replace these in our lifetime.

Table grape vines are coming along nicely. These are Thompson Seedless and Champanelle grapes. It'll be a couple more growing seasons before we enjoy grapes from them, but in due time, we'll be glad we worked so hard on the vines.
