Hot at Go Away!

Man, is it ever hot and dry this year at Go Away... Texas is overall desperate for rain everywhere except in those few rare spots that have received showers... Bellville is one area where we haven't received a shower in so long, I can't remember seeing it rain there this year. But, as hot as it is, it's still very pretty right now. Here's a couple images from last weekend.

Dusk is so pretty... but man, it was steaming hot. So very humid behind the tropical storm as it headed SW and went in between Brownsville and Corpus Christi, Texas. All we got was an elevated wind and enormous humidity. Oh well. I'm sure God knows that we need rain. Maybe he has the team up there working feverishly to make more rain after that mistake they made and dumped it all on the Midwest a couple months ago. You have to admit that it was a bit more than they meant to get.

I look like one of those ole guys that are always proud of their pumpkins in the NE... This is one of Mikki's prize cantaloupes weighing in a 6.6lbs. It is massive.
