Cantaloupes and other farmy stuff
It's a very warm weekend in Texas... And for a break, we have a thick overcast but very humid day. Spent most of my day indoors doing repairs and chores. Mik was in the garden.
Great crop of cantaloupes this season. They seem to love this repressive heat:-)
Orient Pears (known to grow to 1.5lbs... )
Tree Frog hanging out waiting for edible guests
Shallots
Sheep
Mik's organic onions all bagged up and ready to give to some lucky onion lover...
We lost a gorgeous hickory this week.... Actual the drought has claimed three now. Perfectly good looking trees just die, or like this specimen, just fall over. So sad:-( But, the smoke from this baby will sure make some tasty brisket in the smoker. Always a bright side.
