Christmas at Go Away Farm

Family Christmas in the great room with both fireplaces burning... kids everywhere, presents galore (but less than historical, thank goodness)... trying to make the season more meaningful and less cluttered. We've made some headway:-) We trust you and your families had a wonderful Christmas season. We sure did. We are blessed!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Farm at Christmas

The farm is a special place at the holidays. I think the smells of fresh greenery and cooking and all of the scents of the holidays are so nostalgic. My memories are wonderful of this time of year.

The farm is raring and ready to go this year. We agreed to be on the American Cancer Society's annual Austin County Farm & Home tour. What a job, but worth every minute of preparation. We had the chance yesterday to go visit the other 5 special places. What a great idea. I can't image coordinating it, but the team does a great job here in Austin County. And, what a worthy cause! So many families are touched by this isidious disease. We are pleased to be on their tour and help them raise funds.

Mikki and me with you all a Merry Christmas!

Bullwinkle with a special wreath treatment. He just sat there and didn't move a muscle as we adorned him with his beautiful necklace.
