No water on Christmas Morning

We awoke to a gorgeous, wintry Christmas morning at Go Away Farm (32 degrees) without water. What a shock that most city folks have rarely ever experienced. It takes you a few minutes for it to sink in, but without water is akin to being without electricity. You take it so much for granted that you question "how is it possible?" "what do you mean, we don't have water?" Then, you go about calling the repairman, but wait... It's Christmas day. And not much of a surprise, he is on his deer lease many miles from here. So off to get the meter to test the power. Yep, full power to the regulator/switch. Well, try this little red reset button here on the main well switch. Wala! Magic! I hear the well kick on and the family rejoices! But not before we had hauled several gallons of swimming pool water to set at the ready by each toilet. And not before 6 hours had passed with the thought that it could be a very long weekend indeed....

Family, health, water and electricity are just of the few good things that I'm very thankful for this Christmas day!

We had a wonderful Christmas. I trust you did as well.

Merry Christmas!
