Chickens, Cows and the Windmill

Laying hens and the Rooster...

They say that if the cows are laying down in the day, the fish aren't biting.

Mikki shot this of a momma and baby "baldy" calf at the windmill.

United Supermarkets Executive Team FY09 Planning Session at Go Away Farm

The United Supermarket Executive team from Lubbock started arriving Monday afternoon late, and by Tuesday afternoon eleven members had arrived and they were soon in the conference center working. They put in an enormous number of hours until very late at night both nights, but the spirit of the team was something rare to experience. They were there to work, and work they did. But, they didn't work so much that they didn't play a couple hours. They shot skeet with Charles and Bryan, and worked with Marcus Enriques, our guide from Orvis, on their fly-fishing skills. And all the hard work sure gave them a hearty appetite. But thank goodness there was plenty healthy food to eat along with some wonderful home sweets, as is the norm at Go Away Farm. They left energized but no doubt tired on Thursday evening. Our staff was so impressed with the United Executive team. They were all so gracious and kind to our staff. We look forward to hosting them again in the near future. Thank You United for choosing Go Away Farm for your planning session.
